Our Programs

Through our rights-based approach, we link human rights, social justice, environment and development. We put our energy into well-focused and unique programs in which GSHRDPI has a significant analytical and organisational edge.  As an INGO, we encourage homegrown approaches and solutions towards achieving the SDGs and other globally agreed agendas.

Program Strategy

Program Strategy

We will seek to use a human rights-based approach to impact human rights, environment and social injustice through the promotion of inclusive development alongside our partners on three ways to achieve a lasting impact scale for goals 3,5, 8, 13, 16 and 17 of the SDGs.

Humanitarian action: We work with our partners, especially in emergency preparedness and response before, during and after to encourage future resilience and equitable development. We encourage all stakeholders to involve those that are affected to take part in devising lasting solutions that they can manage and relate to within their local settings.

Promoting lasting change and innovative solutions:  We trigger innovative solutions for sustainable development and human rights promotion through supporting new vernacularised advocacy strategies. This is achieved through supplying and strengthening essential service delivery, building capacities, fortifying resilience to reduce risks, and empowering the most vulnerable. By The most vulnerable we mean those that are most poverty-stricken, affected by natural disasters, affected by wars or other conflicts and those that are considered minorities due to their ethnicity, disability, sexuality, age (elderly) among other issues.

Multiplying impact: Together with our partners, GSHRDPI  Documents successful models, leveraging knowledge, advocating for replication and expansion of proven homegrown approaches with the involvement and support of all stakeholders including donors, policymakers, advocate agencies.
